Rhode Island Country Club has become the center of social activity in Barrington. Committed to having one of the finest clubs in the country, emphasizing tradition and keeping generations of members and guests satisfied, is what distinguishes Rhode Island Country Club from others. The Club’s rich history dates back to the building of the original clubhouse in 1912, the present day third green, and the expansion of the club in 1931 with the clubhouse that stands today.
The Clubhouse speaks for itself with
bright and open rooms overlooking the Narragansett Bay, gracious décor and a terrace with abundant greenery. The picturesque golf course, newly renovated, is a combination of parkland, wooded and seaside holes. Rhode Island Country Club has been the proud host of the CVS Charity Classic since 1999 and has hosted four USGA Championships.

Executive Chef, Peter Kittredge, prides himself on generous displays and presentations, which adds sophistication to any event. Born and raised in Newport, Rhode Island, Peter found his true calling in culinary arts. He has extensive banquet and fine dining experience working for prestigious companies throughout Rhode Island. He specializes in ethnic fusion; a style that takes the best elements of various ethnic cuisines to create new dishes, introducing unusual ingredients to traditional recipes. With this passion he has created many exciting new taste combinations.

Rhode Island Country Club is happy to accommodate a wide range of events from
weddings, fundraisers and other large functions to golf outings and small intimate
dinners. From the moment you arrive at the Club the smallest details are taken care
of. Our Events Manager will guide the planning stages and help with event logistics
and details ensuring effortless planning. We offer a high standard of quality at
competitive rates and will create a unique event experience for you and your guests.
The basic necessities for all events are provided from tables and chairs to linen
and table settings. Any additional resources can be handled by one of the many
vendors on our preferred vendor list. The lavish golf course and scenic beach
provide beautiful settings for outdoor photography.
